From New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Max Monroe comes a new standalone romantic comedy.

My name is Lola Sexton, and I’m a sex addict.

Okay…that’s a lie.

Truth is, I’m a serial dater turned dating and relationship columnist for The San Francisco Times. My readers call me Sex. Sex Says.

I love my job.

I love my life.

And I hate Reed Luca.

My name is Reed Luca, and I’m a liar.

Ironically, that’s the truth.

I’m 31, and my occupation is…well, complicated.

My favorite kind of woman comes in all shapes and sizes, but always has a big brain.

I’ve never hated anything.

Lola Sexton hates me.

Luckily, it’s a thin line between love and hate, and with my help, pretty Lola will only be able to straddle that line for so long.

“Sex Says” is the latest release from the genius that is Max Monroe. This book isn’t in any way connected to their Billionaire Bad Boys Series, so don’t go into it thinking this will be exactly like those books. What this is, is a very well-written romance, with two very intelligent and quirky characters who love to move to the beat of their own drum.

Lola Sexton is a sex/dating columnist for the San Francisco Times who is also a liar. But a quirky one. The kind that dresses how she wants without apology and moves throughout the city, whether it be via her dainty bike named “Daisy” or on roller skates.

Reed Luca has made an art of ditching responsibilities, moving from one job to the next and never letting anything get him riled. That is until he comes across one of Lola’s columns and decides to respond with his own point of view. Once he’s spoken, his name is out there, and the dance and thin line of love/hate between Lola and Reed begins.

This was an enjoyable romance with very well developed characters. As someone who also likes to move to the beat of my own drum, I definitely felt a kinship with both Lola and Reed. I loved the atmosphere and how Max Monroe were able to make you feel like you were in San Francisco with the characters. This is a standalone with an HEA and an epilogue. (Yay! I love epilogues!)

I was generously provided an ARC in exchange for an honest review and give this 5 stars.
